Featuring hand painted game birds in a Moorland scene. T. Holmes was an artist known for painting fine English porcelain, such as Worcester-style vases decorated with birds and pheasants.
T. Holmes hand-decorated and painted English china/ porcelain and was inspired by traditional English porcelain houses like Worcester, frequently featuring detailed naturalistic subjects such as pheasants and game birds. While T. Holmes was indeed a ceramic artist known for painting woodland scenes featuring game birds.
His signed work is primarily documented on Crown Ducal pottery (A.G. Richardson & Co.) rather than official Royal Worcester porcelain. However, his work closely emulates the highly collectible 'Worcester style' of game bird painting.
