The Big Move and The New Business!
The Big Move and The New Business!
Armoury Antiques and Militaria is now closed as a business, but don't panic…our new business is called Marlborough Antiques, reflecting the location of where our new antique shop premises will be in the Marlborough Sounds, New Zealand (Aotearoa), and giving our new business a more geographical and local name.
We'll continue to be one of the World's most highly rated specialists' antique dealers dealing in fine antique and military items, but our antique premises will be much larger and varied dealing in fine art, general antiques, furniture, pictures, jewellery (gold and silver), antique swords, Japanese Swords (Nihon-To) and Japanese armour as well as militaria from the 11th to the 21st century.
Our social media platforms will reflect our new business name (Marlborough Antiques), and this transition will be as smooth as possible. The biggest advantage is that we'll now be able to ship all items (including antique swords) all over the World (subject to your localised customs rules and regulations). There'll be a new website too obviously, and we'll have the largest selection of antique armour and militaria in Aotearoa including the largest selection of Nihon-To (Japanese swords) and armour on display in our new antique shop premises. Full details of Marlborough Antiques and our YouTube videos showing our journey to Aotearoa, location, stock, shop tour and grand opening will be coming soon - so watch this space!
Marlborough Antiques is set in an outstanding area of natural beauty surrounded by beautiful mountains and coastline as well as great local independent shops, restaurants and cafés. Marlborough Antiques updates on YouTube (and other social media platforms) and our website will be coming thick and fast, so stay tuned to our YouTube channel and subscribe so you don't miss any of our updates.
We've many plans and ideas, one of which will be a monthly meeting at Marlborough Antiques supporting local historians, collectors, researchers and investors – this will be called 'Marlborough Antiques Historical Society'. This new society will, as mentioned, meet once a month, and consist of an annual membership fee (to cover tea/ coffee and light bites and our member published magazine). Membership will be open to all and will include events such as show and tell presentations, research advice/ guidance, appraisals, authentication and meeting local historians, collectors, researchers and investors.
So many updates will be coming, so subscribe and follow us on our big move and new business!
We look forward to welcoming you to our incredible antique shop and welcoming you to amazing Aotearoa!
